We are pleased to announce the results of the 2025 MPWB Board Elections. The following individuals have been selected to serve in their respective roles:

We extend our sincere congratulations and appreciation to all newly elected board members for their willingness to serve and lead MPWB’s global mission.
We would also like to express our heartfelt thanks to John Schreiner, who has served on the MPWB Board since 2019 in various roles including President-Elect, President, and Past President. His steady leadership and long-standing commitment have been instrumental in guiding MPWB through a period of growth and impact.
A special thank you also goes to Eduard Gershkevitch, who has served as Councillor of Fundraising since 2021. Eduard brought energy and dedication to building MPWB’s fundraising efforts and strengthening our outreach.
As both John and Eduard come off the board, we’re grateful to note that they plan to remain actively engaged in MPWB activities—reflecting the continued passion and commitment that define our community.
- MPWB/AAPM Virtual Access Awards
The Medical Physics for World Benefit (MPWB) and AAPM Global Early Career Research Subcommittee (GECRSC) are excited to announce the recipients of the MPWB/AAPM Awards for Virtual Access to the AAPM 2025 Annual Meeting. This initiative is designed to increase access to high-quality scientific, professional, and educational content for medical physicists and early career researchers (ECRs) in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs).

- Upcoming Event at IUPESM 2025
We are also proud to announce that MPWB will be hosting a special symposium at the IUPESM World Congress 2025, taking place in Adelaide, Australia on Friday, October 3.

Medical Physics for World Benefit: Can a Small Organisation Make a Difference?
Chaired by: Afua Yorke and Tomas Kron
This session will highlight MPWB’s evolution, global impact, and future directions in supporting medical physics education and clinical development in low- and middle-income countries.
