There are many ways to help MPWB. If you are a Medical Physicist (or affiliated with Medical Physics), you can join the MPWB membership. If you would like to support MPWB activities but are not interested in being a member, you can donate to MPWB causes by contributing to our general donation category, or specifically to our J.R. Cunningham Fund.

General Fund

The success of major projects requires different sources of financial support.

In addition to helping support these major training and educational initiatives, there are a lot of hidden expenses in this operation, such as web-site hosting fees, accounting, and banking fees.

Your contribution to our general fund helps support project-related and administrative expenses.

J.R. Cunningham Fund

The MPWB J.R. Cunningham Fund was initiated as a result of a bequest from J.R. Cunningham. Jack Cunningham was a world leader in the early development of computerized treatment planning programs. In addition, during his career at the Princess Margaret Hospital/University of Toronto, he worked as an International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) advisor in Medical Physics and Radiation Protection to the government of Ceylon (Sri Lanka) in 1964-65.

The MPWB J.R. Cunningham fund will be used for projects in low-to-middle income environments that relate to improvements in treatment planning.

The Board of Directors of MPWB will decide on the appropriate application of the MPWB J.R. Cunningham funds but will maintain a special emphasis on treatment planning related projects, whether they be related to educational programs or clinical enhancements of treatment planning. Requests can be made specifically by institutions in low-to-middle income environments or funds can be allocated as part of educational/training programs.

To donate specifically to the JR Cunningham Fund, please specify this when you complete your donation.
